First and foremost our subjects must be able to intelligently speak about thematic facets of Doctor Who, and how the show has and continues to influence them in their daily lives. You must be a Doctor Who freak! The series and its ideas have to all but be embedded in your DNA. You don't necessarily have to be an old school fan, though that'd be great for us as filmmakers since we've all been fans since we were kids.

The new series has now been on for a decade, and it alone has generated some of the most impassioned and intellectual fans Doctor Who has seen over the course of its 50-plus years. So even if your first Doctor was Christopher Eccleston or David Tennant, and you've never seen any of the Patrick Troughton stories, don't count yourself out! You may very well still be inDoctornated to us.

We're looking for people who make a difference – that somehow make the world a better place. Obvious candidates include doctors, educators, scientists, possibly even an outstanding lawyer, though that's difficult to envision (sorry, lawyers!). An athlete could be fascinating. A politician might be an incredible find. A soldier or someone else in the military would be exciting. Artists, artists - definitely artists. Beyond these sorts of professions, we're at a bit of a loss to come up with viable scenarios, and we imagine that some of our boldest submissions will be unlikely candidates found in the most improbable of places. In short, they'd be so fascinating that we never could’ve dreamed them up in a hundred years.

On the other hand, maybe you’re simply an utterly absorbing and entertaining Doctor Who fan – someone who's been waiting for an opportunity such as this to unleash your inner Time Lord on the rest of the world. Perhaps the series and its ideas have shaped you to such a degree that it’s a story unto itself. Maybe your philosophy and worldview alone qualify you to be front and center in inDoctornated. Who are we to say that you shouldn't submit an audition video?

Doctor Who celebrates diversity and inDoctornated will, too. We're open to applicants of all races, religions or non-religions, creeds, sexual orientations, ideologies, income brackets, etc. The inDoctornated filmmakers are pretty broad-minded, and the more different our subjects are from one another, the better.
