So, you’re ready to shoot and submit your audition video?
Hopefully you’ve read our “Who are we looking for?” and our FAQ pages by this point. If not, please take a look at both before moving forward.

Let’s go over a few simple rules/pointers before making your video.

1. Your audition should begin with the following:
a) Your first and last name
b) The city or town you live in
c) What you do for a living
d) When you started watching Doctor Who

2. Convince us that you can weave your story in such a manner that it will captivate and engage an audience. Making a few index cards to follow along with might not be a bad idea. Or write a whole speech. Or just wing it. Indeed, beyond what we’ve talked about here, it is entirely up to you how rigid or loose, how elaborate or creative you want to get…though to be clear, we’re only expecting folks to talk directly into the camera. If you want to grab our attention in some other manner, though, feel free.

3. Please try to keep your audition at three minutes or less. That may not sound like very long, but we feel it’s plenty of time to dazzle us and state your case. If you simply feel three minutes isn’t enough, go ahead and shoot a little more, but anything over five minutes, and you might be rambling. Besides, we want to save plenty of you for the actual documentary!

4. Presumably the bulk of the submissions will be made on Smartphones. If so, please hold the camera horizontally, so that your audition is shot in a filmic aspect ratio to match the movie. We will likely do a montage in the film featuring bits and pieces of many of the folks that weren’t chosen as one of the four subjects. If your video is pillar-boxed (i.e. vertically shot, with black bars on the sides), it’s highly unlikely we’ll use it. And you want to be in the movie, right?

5. While we would be delighted to cast a younger person as one of the four, if you are under the age of 18 years, we must receive a hard copy of our Terms and Conditions, signed by you and your legal guardian. Before submitting an audition video, please contact us at indoctornated@gmail.com, so we can give you further instructions.

If you’ve made your video and you are ready to submit it, please fill out the form below, and continue on to our Terms and Conditions policy. After agreeing to that, you can submit your audition.

You understand that Company has the sole discretion to choose which applicant(s) to include in the Film.

2. Provided that you have agreed to and complied with this Agreement and all other submission requirements, Company will review your Audition and consider you as a possible subject in the Film. Company has the sole discretion to select which person(s) to include in the Film, and makes no promise to select you from other applicants. For example only and without limiting Company’s rights, you agree that Company may include excerpts and screenshots of your Audition in the Film, the Film trailer, Film website, Film bonus features, and the Film’s social media outlets.

4. 5. You warrant and represent your Audition does not include any unauthorized use of the copyrights, trademarks, rights of publicity, or rights of privacy, of any person or entity. If your Audition includes the images, likenesses, and/or voices of any other person(s), you warrant that you have secured all rights and permissions to use the other person(s) images, likenesses, and/or voices. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Company if any other person or entity should bring a claim against Company for any alleged unauthorized use contrary to this Agreement.

6. If Company determines in its sole discretion that your Audition is offensive, abusive, libelous, threatening, objectionable in any way, then Company may remove your Audition from the Film, the Film website, and all other Film promotional materials.

7. If the Company receives notice pursuant to United States Code Title 17 Section 512(c), by which a third party demands that your Audition be removed for copyright infringement, your Audition may be removed from the Film, the Film website, and all other Film promotional materials.

8. You are at least eighteen (18) years of age. If you are under eighteen (18) years of age, you understand that Company may not review or use your Audition until Company receives a physical copy of the Agreement, executed by you and your legal guardian. Please email Company at info@indoctornated.com for additional instructions regarding audition videos of minors.

9. Company is located in the State of Texas. The laws of the State of Texas shall govern any dispute relating to this Agreement. The venue for any dispute relating to this Agreement shall be San Antonio, Texas.

10. Your heirs, successors, and assigns shall be bound by each and every term of this Agreement.
